Seven Finalists At SXSW
MODUS OPERANDI is hoping that it can assassinate the competition (pun totally intended) in the Motion Graphics Category for their Interactive Trailer for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3. They had pretty much started at SXSW two years ago, so pretty good work to get recognized so quickly.
Jam3 built a beautiful new digital home for the University of Alabama – Culverhouse College of Commerce and has been nominated in the Category: Educational Resource. Bear 71 continues its awards march. Hopefully, it can take home one more piece of gold in the Category: Technical Achievement. Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau is for business and has a lovely voice activated tour utilizing the Google Maps API.
As if that news wasn’t good enough, an interactive project Jam3 has been producing about North Korea titled ‘The Defector’, has been accepted into the Digital Domain track of SXSW (which is geared for film and interactive festivals). They are honored to have been asked to be on a panel and discuss the details of this project.
TOOL is hoping to follow up their Best in Show win from last year with some more hardware. JAM with Chrome, created alongside Google Creative Lab, AND Clouds Over Cuba, co-created with The Martin Agency have been nominated. We also want to congratulate Grant Skinner for his Atari Arcade project which is also a finalist.
